Everest Base Camp Trek

Route Overview
You'll fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,860m), then walk north through the Khumbu valley, gaining altitude gradually with two built-in acclimatisation days at Namche Bazaar and Dingboche. The final approach passes Gorak Shep before reaching Everest Base Camp itself, with an optional dawn climb of Kala Patthar (5,545m) for the clearest summit views of Everest.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
3 hrs walking. Short first day to ease into the trail.
6 hrs. Enter Sagarmatha National Park; first Everest viewpoint.
Short hike to Everest View Hotel (3,880m) and back to sleep low.
5 hrs. Visit the region's largest monastery.
5 hrs. Landscape opens into high alpine terrain.
Hike to Nangkartshang viewpoint (5,083m).
5 hrs, passing the Everest climbers' memorials.
8 hrs. The goal day.
Dawn summit push for the best Everest panorama, then descend.
Retrace the route at a faster pace with the altitude behind you.
Trip ends with a debrief at our Thamel office.
